Buried By Books

I'm a romance and mystery book blogger who loves to bake and whine about snowstorms.
Forever and a Day (Lucky Harbor, #6) - Jill Shalvis I really loved this one. Huge Jill Shalvis fan, but I think the Lucky Harbor series is her best work. Sexy, sweet, and hilarious.
Once Burned - Jeaniene Frost Waffling between 3.5 and 4 stars. Open ended, which annoys me. More books are coming, but I like my stories self-contained.
Gunmetal Magic - Ilona Andrews I love this series. Great characters. And like Kate Daniels books, this is told in the first person.
A Royal Pain - Megan Mulry

Good, but I wish we'd seen a bit more external struggle to go along with emotional one.
Echoes at Dawn (KGI, #5) - Maya Banks I really am not fond of the pnr turn this series took. Was just fine as RS. And Rio's insta-love is a little too instant. Decent read, but not a keeper.
Slave to Sensation - Nalini Singh Listened to the audio. Did not like it very much at all. I might give it another go in print...
About That Night - Julie James First book in a long time that I've read in under a day. Did not want to put it down
Last Man Standing - Cindy Gerard Meh. Ok RS elements, but didn't click with the characters.
Bedding Lord Ned (Duchess of Love) - Sally MacKenzie Same humor as her Naked series. Plus I LOVED that Ned's parents got some love scenes, too.
Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, Book 9) - J.R. Ward This is V's book, part 2. I bet, if I had a digital version, that Payne had maybe half the page time V did. Don't mind though as Payne is just as simpering as the rest of Ward's heroines.
Fair Game - Patricia Briggs Loved it. Not very long and extremely pricey HC, but the book didn't need to be longer. Far more mystery-ish than usual, and with some great twists and OMG!! moments near the end.
Sweet Justice: A Last Chance Rescue Novel - Christy Reece Superficial emotions and too much time spent with the incest/rapist cult leader villain. Even for RS.
Locked and Loaded - HelenKay Dimon Didn't work as well for me as other stories by HKD. Going to try something longer in a different genre.
Whispers in the Dark (KGI, #4) - Maya Banks Very quick read with echoes of CFeehan's Ghostwalkers books. The psychic storyline at any rate. My favorite part of this series is still the family scenes and the relationships between the brothers.
The Husband Hunt - Lynsay Sands 3.5 stars

Uneven but still made me laugh.
Holiday Kisses: A Holiday Romance Collection - Jaci Burton, Shannon Stacey, HelenKay Dimon, Alison Kent, Angela James Loved 3 out of 4. HKD and the Stacey one made me cry. In a good way.
