Born To Be Wild - Christine Warren I think this is one of those books that either clicked with you or really didn't work at all. I loved it, but others--mostly those who have read quite a bit of the series to which this belongs--disliked it...intensely.

I liked the characters. I liked the writing itself. The dialogue is very finely tuned...the characters all banter amongst themselves the way real people who live in a small town do. It felt real for me.

The mystery does end rather abruptly, but I just assumed that the tidying up of loose ends happened "off screen." I'd be bored if I had to read an epliogue that detailed how they rounded up the infected wolves etc.

This book doesn't really fit well with the rest of the Others series, but taken as a stand alone novel, it worked just fine for me.
